Swapped out the Harley Carb for an S&S Super E. With my excitement to swap I didn't track the vacuum line that was on top of the old carb that went to the VOES. After reading a bunch of threads, I would like to keep the VOES. My manual shows the line coming off of the carb (now intake manifold with the S&S) to the VOESIf detonation is still noticed, then it would be a good idea to replace/reinstall the VOES. I do not know whether your replacement carburetor has a vacuum tap but one is necessary in order to operate the VOES. If it doesn't have a tap like the Harley carburetor, you could tap into the manifold. The tap must be inside of the carburetor butterfly.The ICM computes ignition timing advance and coil dwell.
